What motivates you to change, to take action? Does taking action during the good times happen in your life or, do you only take action when you are forced to?

Those who wait to take action until they find themselves in a desperate situation face more difficulties than they need to. They are also then under the stress of the challenge they are facing.

One of the saddest examples is an employed person who has the opportunity to take course to improve his skills, but instead, does nothing until he finds he no longer has a job.

Those who set their goals, work towards what they currently once only dreamed of achieving find success due to their hard work. They don't sit back and wait for others to create the future they want. They create the future by what they are doing today.

Keep improving your skills, and education, and you will greatly improve your odds of success.

Read the biographies of successful people and you will find they looked at life as a continuous learning experience, they would learn how to do things, they would ask for help. They didn't sit back and wait for others to do it for them. They took the initiative and did it themselves or found people who could help them.

Some people think success is because others are lucky. To use the wisdom of Thomas Jefferson who once said, "I'm a great believer in luck and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it."

Luck does not happen for any reason. The majority of times you will find hard work and action behind those that you think are lucky.

Take action now, only if only baby steps. As the proverb says, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step." Take that one step, then another.
