How Old Are You

How Old Are You

By

If we did not know our age, some of us would appear to be very young, and some of us would seem very old.

What Is Your Purpose
Age is just a number. Yes our bodies do age and our appearance can change, however, some people start ageing at a very young age. They are content to sit on a couch and not set any goals. Whereas, some older people never stop having goals. I think the older you get the more you realize how short life truly is; and how fast time flies by. We all need a purpose, a reason to get up every day, no matter what your age.

Don’t Let Age Be An Excuse
Sometimes, people use age as a convenient excuse. “I’m too old to start something new”, or, “I couldn’t learn that at my age.” Other people, though, go on to achieve their greatest accomplishments in life in later years.

Take, for example, Colonel Harland Sanders who started franchising his chicken outlets when he was 65 years old. Up to the age of 90 years old he traveled 250,000 miles a year visiting KFC franchises. He not only overcame personal and business adversities, but more importantly, he didn’t let age stand in his way!

What Is Your Attitude
Feelings lead to attitudes, attitudes become beliefs, and beliefs become the basis for actions no matter what your age. It is not important how old you are; it is how you feel, how you think, and what you do that is important.

To quote Satchel Paige, “How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you was.”

And our one of our favorite words of wisdom on age is:

“Don’t count your years….make your years count.”

Make A Difference
So no matter what your age, keep yourself motivated by setting goals. By being active, by making a difference in others lives. Don’t think once you reach a certain age you can stop. Or don’t let your age make you feel that you have all the time in the world. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow. Make a difference today.
