There are a large number of things that people may not believe in including the Tooth Fairy or the Irish Lepricon. But, there are those who have doubts about other things that do not at first appear to be believable. One of there things that some people doubt is Santa Claus. Now, I am not saying that most adults believe in the Santa Clause of their youth but what about a real Santa Claus? You doubt this I'm sure. Well, the real Santa Claus can be alive and well through you. Yes, I said you. The real Santa Clause lives within the spirit of the human mind embodied by the deeds that are done for no gain or recognition. You do not need a Santa suit, or a beard, or be pot bellied. You can exercise your Santa Clause spirit throughout the year without having to wait for December, or snow. But, if you want to wait till the snow flies, then that's all right too. You see, the spirit of giving in the true spirit says more about helping those in need; those who cannot afford some of the basics of life, or who are struggling to feed or clothe their family, or those seniors who are living alone on a fixed budget that is being constantly eroded through the never ending cycle of inflation. It is the spirit that means you help, give, assist or counsel without expecting anything monetary in return. It means that you pass on good intentions, good deeds, and good will unselfishly. There are a number of people who share the spirit of Santa Clause throughout the year and if you doubt this just make a visit to any number of community organizations and take count of the number of people volunteering their time and energy. Santa Clause does not and should not only represent the commercialism we see during the holiday season where millions have been conditioned to buy presents. The true spirit of Santa Clause goes well beyond. And, if you want to be a Santa Clause, go for it - there is no greater feeling and calling. |
