The Lord is my Shepherd - A guiding light through life.We can have what we need within the word of God where we find refuge, serenity, wisdom and forgiveness. Not all messages within the Bible may be clear to our usual way of speaking and comprehending. In these words about Psalm 23, we can take meaning from what one believes to have been said or at the very least, a clear message that God will be with us no matter what happens, or who we are. The importance of passages from the Bible for some are those that bring comfort in times of terrible loss like that of a parent or of a child. For others, there is hope to be found where a life seems to be lost. And, for others, there is the steady guidance through a challenging life. No matter the reason that one has to read passages from the Bible, there is usually one commonality among them all. And, that common theme is a belief in the Lord Jesus Christ as our savior from sin. It is only through the belief in God that salvation is guaranteed. Throughout the ages, the Bible has lead people beyond the normal trials of life, and has been the guiding light for many as they have embarked on a dangerous path to bring the word of God to as many people as possible.
