A friend of my was having a birthday and I was looking for a quote that expressed my feelings for this very special person. As I read the many different thoughts on friendship and different interpretations of what a friend is I realized my friend was someone who stays with me no matter what the situation, they can be count on not just in the good times but more especially in the bad times.

A Story of Friendship:
It is to everyone’s advantage to have a few close friends. It isn’t usual for everyone to have a multitude of friends because a true friend is more rare than some may at first think. Some people think that anyone who calls you a friend is someone you can count on when things go haywire. But, this is not always the case as many have found out the hard way.

A rather unpleasant situation arose recently where a really good friend of mine had his wedding plans cancelled three weeks before the wedding. And, if that wasn’t bad enough . . . .
