Do not waste your days. Be one of those people who accomplish more in a week than others do in a year!
My Personal Experience
Personally I have found reading a quote that is full of motivation at the beginning of the day helps me when I face challenges during the day and reminds me not to waste my days.
We take or find or write motivational and inspirational words that are short but worth each word. These inspirational words of wisdom are updated every day.
A lot of people can print out the thought of the day or quote of the day. Then, it is a simple task of posting it in a prominent place like on your refrigerator, or on your bathroom wall right by the mirror. Both of these places will be very easy for you to read as you go to the fridge in the morning to get your milk, or go to the bathroom to shave or put on your makeup.
Another option is to print copies for your workplace where you can post it on the bulletin board, one at your workstation and give the others away to your colleagues to post in their own particular workstation. Once you start doing this, however, be aware of what will happen.
In a very short while, let’s say for a couple of months down the road, do an experiment and do not post one on the bulletin board and see what happens. You will probably be pleasantly surprised that several of your colleagues will ask you what happened to the quote of the day or thought of the day filled with words of inspiration? Then, you know what to do and what is expected of you each month from now on. You will be expected to post the quotes so that everyone can appreciate, use and take to heart what the quote or thought of the day says.
Another option, is to send a or note in the mail to a friend or family member who you feel needs a little lift to their days or who is going through some rather challenging times. Or, if they have an email address, you can send them a note containing the web site address so they can read daily. Do not hesitate to tell other people about these inspirational pages because the more who know about it, the more these inspirational words of wisdom spread around the world for the betterment of each person who gets it.
Wisdom of Arnold Bennett
I recently read a piece by Arnold Bennett, titled This Day:
“You wake up in the morning and lo! Your purse is magically filled with twenty-four hours of the unmanufactured tissue of the universe of your life. It is yours. It is the most precious of possessions. No one can take if from you. It is unstealable. And no one receives either more or less than you receive.”
How true Mr. Bennett’s thoughts are. We all have the same time, but the difference is how we use our time!
A similar thought from Horace Mann, titled, Lost, Two Golden Hours:
“Lost, yesterday, somewhere between Sunrise and Sunset, two golden hours, each set with sixty diamond minutes. No reward is offered for they are gone forever.”
Mr Mann’s thought also holds truth. Once time is gone you can never get it back.
Inspirational Quotes for Reflection:
“The mind, like the sponge, can only put out what it takes in, and thus we have to be sure to soak up positive thinking in order to produce the positive results.” Benjamin Chapin
“Positive self-talk can provide you with a short burst of motivation that will help you push through obstacles and reach the next level.” Martin Meadows
“You must not allow yourself to dwell for a single moment on any kind of negative thought.” Emmet Fox
