You cannot change the world,
Poetry to remind you to,
Count your blessings instead of your crosses;
Count your smiles instead of your tears;
Count your health instead of your wealth;
Carry On!!
It's easy to fight when everything's right, What Might Have Been
I held a moment in my hand,
How When Where
It is not so much WHERE you live, |
Your Bucket List By Julie Hebert, © 2011 A bucket list, We all should record. To give us goals, To work towards. Make a list, From one to twenty. You can have more, If you want to have plenty. You're bucket list, Will hold your dreams. That one day, Won't be a dream. Setting goals Is good to do, To make your dreams Come true for you. ~ ~ ~ Anyway Poet: Unknown People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered. Love them anyway! If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Do good anyway! If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway! The good you do today, will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway! Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway! The biggest person with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest people with the smallest minds; Think big anyway! People favor underdogs, but follow only top dogs. Fight for underdogs anyway! What you spend years building up may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway! People really need help, but will attack you if you help them. Help them anyway! Give the world the best you have and it may kick you in the teeth. Give the world the best you've got anyway! ~ ~ ~ ~ What I Want Poet: Unknown I Am Powerful! Whatever I set my mind on having, I will have. Whatever I decide to be, I will be. The evidence is all around me. The power of my Will has brought me precisely to where I am right now. I have made the choices. I have held the thoughts. I have taken the actions to create my current reality. And I have the power to change it into whatever I want it to be. With the choices I make, I am constantly fulfilling the vision I have for my life. If that does not seem to be the case -- then I am deceiving myself about what I really want. Because what I really, truly want, I will get! What I truly wanted in the past, I already have. If I want to build a billion-dollar business, I will take the actions necessary to do it. If I want to sit comfortably watching TV night after night -- I will take the actions necessary for that. Don’t be disappointed in my results -- they’re just the outward manifestation of my priorities. I will be sure of what I truly want, because I am sure to get it! ~ ~ ~ ~ I Wrote Around A Butterfly…. Poet: John McLeod I wrote around a butterfly this evening Thoughts flitting in and out like shadow-play, The colours of its wings a quiet weaving A gentle prayer of hope at end of day, So short a span, yet fleetingly conveying The joy of Life, the miracle it brings, God’s gentle beauty, light amid the darkness, Soaring aloft on beauteous perfect wings! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Shadow-Selves Poet: Anna E. Hamilton This learned I from the shadow of a tree, That to and fro did sway against a wall: Our shadow-selves, our influence, may fall Where we ourselves can never be. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Life's Completeness Poet: S. G. Fisher A love that lasts forever: A friendship naught can sever; A courage never failing, Though evil seems prevailing; And jouyous, radiant living, Made glorious by its giving; A faith strong and enduring, Unworthy thoughts obscuring; And eyes for seeing beauty In work, in play, in duty; Life ever onward flowing And more abundant growing; Love, courage, faith, and sweetness To make up life's completeness. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Other Poetry Resources
