Mothers Day Poems
Share these Mothers Day poems with your Mom. Mothers are special people, who always love us no matter what. Make sure to take the time to say thanks to the woman who raised and loved you. And, no matter how old you are she will always care for you. Being a Mother does not stop when her children grow up, they are always her children and she will always love them deeply. A special bond is always there between a mother and her child.
Short Mothers Day Poems
Here’s to my dear Mother,
For she’s old and her hair is grey;
But that I love her best of all,
I’m not ashamed to say.
To the mother who bore me,
There’s no one more bold,
She’s dearer by far
Than all of earth’s gold.
To our mothers,
God bless them every one.
May the eyes of the Fathers and the love of the Sons
Watch over and protect them – keep them holy and pure,
With life to sustain and health to endure.
Mom, I appreciate you
For all you are and all you do.
How blessed I was to have
A Mom like you!
Poems For and About Mom
Special Mother
Poet: Julie Hebert, ©2016
I have a special mother,
She’s very good to me.
She’s kind and sweet and full of love,
She’s always there for me.
When I’m sad she knows it,
She hugs me very tight.
She tells me I will be okay,
There is no need to fright.
When I’m sick she’ll be there,
She never leaves my side.
And when I’m feeling better,
We play a game of seek and find.
I have a special mother,
This I truly know.
I could not ask for better,
My mother, I love her so.
Description Of A Good Mother
Poet: Julie Hebert, ©2016
I have some special words, that describe a special person.
Loving, kind and caring, always very certain.
I have some special actions, this person always does.
Guides, teaches and tickles, and always gives me hugs.
I have some special memories, this person always leaves.
Vacations, baking and outside walks, and the love I do receive.
I love this special person, more than any other.
She is my favourite person, and the very best Mother.
“You are the best Mom”
Supermom
Poet: Julie Hebert, ©2016
A supermom is what she is,
She does so very much.
Juggling work, play and chores,
Without a single crutch.
Many have tried but few succeed,
This life is not for everyone.
Multi-tasking is a must,
Never-ending, never done!
But motherhood is so much more,
Than all those busy times.
There is hidden gems among the grime,
You have to read between the lines.
For every cry there is a hug,
For every tickle a laugh.
For every song there is a dance,
Great memories in photographs.
“Best Mom Ever”
All A Mother Is
Poet: Julie Hebert, ©2016
Full of kindness, full of love, fun, happy and calm.
Intelligent, thoughtful, organized, words that describe my mom.
So many words that say the same, how great a mom she is.
Memories made each and every day, and all the nice things she says.
I can truly say how wonderful, I feel my mother is.
She knows exactly when I’m in need, not to mention all the things she does.
How does she manage so many things, I don’t know how she does it.
But I can tell you one sure thing, I’m sure glad she doesn’t quit!
“Sweet, Kind, Incredible Mom”
The Love Of A Mother
Poet: Julie Hebert, ©2016
When I am sad and frail, and life knocks me down.
I ask my Lord Jesus, who should I be around.
I think of all the people, who surround me everyday,
Suddenly I know the one person, who will help me find my way.
I know she will be there for me, but I hate to be a bother.
My whole life she’s catered to my every need, like any good mother.
But I think about my own children, and how much I love them.
I will always greet my kids with open arms, exactly as my mom.
“A Mothers love is forever”
Bedtime Love
Poet: Julie Hebert, ©2016
Tiny toes and tiny fingers, cozy in her bed.
Cuddled tight, and kisses so sweet, my favourite book now read.
She picks me up and dances our way, to my safest place.
A song she sings to calm me down, then pray to our saving grace.
She lays me down and tucks me in, and kisses me one more time.
An “I love you” is softly said, it is now my bedtime.
Every night it is the same, a tender loving hour.
I could not ask for a better mother, her love is a superpower.
All A Mother Is

Kind, sweet, full of love,
Fun, happy and calm.
Intelligent, thoughtful, organized,
Words that describe my mom.
So many words that say the same,
How great a mom she is.
Memories made each and every day,
And all the nice things she says.
I can truly say how wonderful,
I feel my mother is.
She knows exactly when I’m in need,
Not to mention all the things she does.
How does she manage so many things,

I’m sure glad she doesn’t quit!
Thank You Mom
Poet: Julie Hebert, ©2018
Today is the day I have someone to thank,
And that person I speak of, is well loved.
I have a nickname that is world widely used,
That nickname I call her, is Mom.
She’s always been the one there when I need her,
I count on her, every single day.
It’s hard to believe that she still wants to be here,
Still holding my hand, as I make my way.
Now what do you say to someone so special,
To someone who deserves, so much more?
I suppose she’s not expecting, anything for affecting,
How good I turned out, thanks to her.
So here I am now, not sure what to say,
Other than, “Thank you for being you!
I cant believe my luck to have someone like you,
So wonderful, devoted and true.
Nobody Knows But Mother
Poet: Unknown
Nobody knows of the work it makes
To keep the home together,
Nobody knows of the steps it takes,
Nobody knows – but mother.
Nobody listens to childish woes,
Which kisses only smother;
Nobody’s pained by naughty blows,
Nobody – only mother.
Nobody knows of the sleepless care
Bestowed on baby brother;
Nobody knows of the tender prayer,
Nobody – only mother.
Nobody knows of the lessons taught
Of loving one another;
Nobody knows of the patience sought,
Nobody – only mother.
Nobody knows of the anxious fears,
Lest darlings may not weather
The storm of life in after years,
Nobody knows – but mother.
Nobody kneels at the throne above
To thank the Heavenly Father
For that sweetest gift – a mother’s love;
Nobody can – but mother.

A Mother’s Love
Poet: Shakira Wilkerson, © 2018
A mother’s love is so sweet and pure.
It’s like honey on a honeycomb.
A mother’s love is soft, so soft like a teddy bear.
A mother’s love is so warm; it’s warm like hot cocoa on a cold day.
A mother’s love is like a blanket it covers you and keeps you safe.
A mother’s love is honest; she’s never mean or rude.
A mother’s love is trustworthy; you can trust her with anything.
I wouldn’t trade a mother’s love for nothing.
She’s sweet, loving, caring and understanding.
Thats a mother’s love!
