In the book, Live Your Dreams: Say YES to Life, you will find an inspiring and amazing story of Les Brown’s life. A boy who was adopted by a single woman and how her influence on him gave the start of believing in himself. Her wisdom and perseverance definitely influenced his life as a young child. In the book, he discusses his mother and shows how she was a true role model for Les. Along with examples of many other people who were role models for him and the life lessons he learned and is still learning.

As an adopted child he never knew his real parents. But he learned life lessons by letting go of the past. He explains the feelings he had but also how he overcame the struggle of being adopted.

It is no fun to fail, but you must pick yourself you and get back in the race. The only way you can grow is to challenge yourself beyond your present circumstances. You have to dare to risk failure.

Each of us experiences defeats in life. We can transform defeat into victory if we learn from life’s whuppings.
