I guess the older we get, the more we want to be younger. Well, maybe not really young but at the age where we are more carefree and vibrant. But, while we cannot turn back the clock, we can turn back our mind and do a number of things differently that will make you think and feel younger.

No Age Thinking
One the first things you should consider doing is to forget all about that age thing – you know, as age goes up you seem to go down. Well, I can tell you from personal experience that I do not even think about my age; I keep going strong, renovating and such and dancing with the same passion as if I was back in my teenage years. And, by the way, that number right now is over sixty.

A Few Ways To Get Back To The Younger You
Dance – Even if you are not that good, dancing frees the body to float along with the music, and to cast off stress.

Continuous learning. Forget about the saying ‘you can’t teach an old dog new tricks’ for that is real bunk. Involve yourself in reading books of interest, watch TV shows where you can learn about something new even if you’ve never known anything about it or think you know it all. The mind is an organ that needs to be fed constantly and the more active your brain.

Laughter is the best medicine and has been proven to be a real valuable healing mechanism as well. Like the old saying ‘The most wasted of days is a day without laughter E.E. Cummings” is in learning, the less you will find that you don’t have any interest or have a problem carrying on a new conversation with old friends.

Do not go down the pathway of guilt for past mistakes. What is done is done and there is no beneficial mileage to travel there anymore.

Surround yourself with positive people not those types of people who always or usually see the negative in everything they do or touch. Negativity is a real downer, and the more you engage in it, the more you will dampen your vitality

Staying young is not a secret formula – it is doing a few things differently. So, what are you waiting for?

Inspirational Quotes for Reflection:
“It’s hard to predict how aging will unfold for any one of us. But another reason it can be hard to plan for old age is that a fit 55-year-old can’t always see the hurdles in the environment that an older, less robust person does.Denise Logeland

“Our bodies become older, our faces wrinkle, our organs become sick, our souls become tired, but our spirits are alive.” Andrei G. Aleinikov

“Count your blessings for yourage, as there are many who never get the opportunity.” C Pulsifer
