How you feel and how you react is in direct relation to how you think.
Some people let random circumstances predict their day.
For example, they go to make coffee and find there is none left.
They start the day by sarcastically thinking, "Oh great, this going to be a good day". Then, for the remainder of the day, they allow minor inconveniences, unexplained challenges, or other less than ideal events to reinforce their original negative thought.
You can recognize their negative attitude just by listening to how they talk.
What Does Your Mind Dwell On
If you allow your mind to dwell on unhappy situations, you can expect your day to unfold in the same manner.
There is a vital difference between a negative thinker, or a pessimist, and a positive thinker, or an optimist. The pessimist is an individual who always frames life's events on the bad side of what life is all about. They are very hard pressed at any time to see that there is any good in the world, or that they have their own blessings to be thankful for.
These are the type of people who complain constantly about how life has given them a bad turn and where they always seem to attract less than grand things in their life. They especially are very good at attracting a lot of other negative thinkers along with them and revel in telling everyone how they are constantly getting gthe short end of the stick. It really doesn’t matter what subject you choose, they will spin it in a negative way.
Find The Best In All Circumstances
The optimist, or the more positive person, can always find the best in each situation and is skilled in looking at a problem, not trying to ration out blame, and work hard in developing a solution. These are the type of people who do not look at events or circumstances at having any control over them in any fashion at all. They do not react to any circumstances beyond their control, and when confronted by something that has direct impact on them, they move into action and do not dwell on the issue or problem.
A positive person is the one you meet at work, or casually and can easily tell them just in the body language they display. They have a sense of self-confidence that surrounds them but not in an arrogant or superior way. They have an aura about them that just seems to surround everything they say or do.
These are the people you really need to get to know as a friend or a colleague. They are uplifting in their spirit, voice and attitude. They bring life to a gloomy day with their laughter, with their happiness, with their own special brand of wisdom. They are the ones that are the first to volunteer their help, their time, and their genuine demonstration of caring about all those around them no matter where they come from or what they look like. These are the people who are visible by their fragrance for a life filled with wonders, for a life that gives people opportunities to grab and make what they want to.
You too can be a positive person if you want to and it is within your own self that you will be able to move towards this spirit of being as long as you really want to live a life that is full of possibilities, or beauty.
Look forward to your day and don't let negative thoughts control it. Change how you interpret or react to life's events, and you actually change your attitude from a negative one to a positive one.
If you run out of coffee, change your thought to: "if this is the worse thing that could happen to me today the rest of my day will be great."
If you continually think negative thoughts then you are setting yourself up to allow only negative events to be your companion for the rest of the day. When something good does occur, you won't even recognize it.
