. . . . life is full of risks. Life is also full of staying in a rut because your fear to change is greater than your desire to be fulfilled.

Same Old Leads Nowhere
Some people stay in the same old box for their entire life even though they are miserable every day they work. These types of people put in each day longing for the weekend. But, as we all know, weekends are far too short. They are not fun to be around unless you really enjoy listen to someone complain over and over again about how much they hate their job, or their boss, or their co-workers. Every time you see them, you can already foretell what they will say to you. And, even worse, the more you get to know them, the more you will find that their negativity about work spills over into the rest of their lives.

Inspiring Details
Sally tells an inspiring story. As she recounted to me, it was only a few days before she was able to find another position in a much smaller daycare. In her new setting, she was regarded as an asset and not simply a means to create profit. She was allowed, and even encouraged, to add vitality to her preschool classroom. When she wanted to paint her classroom, instead of being told she couldn’t because it would cost money, she was provided with whatever she needed.

Now, unless you think this is an unusual person, you are right. Unfortunately, far too many other people simply choose to remain in a rut forever being dissatisfied and frustrated.

Sally is an inspiring woman for sure. But, you too can be inspiring to others when you demonstrate that you are willing to take a risk, change a career that is unsatisfying and substitute it with one that allows you to personally grow. A positive change that gives you an opportunity to feel good about yourself will give you a valid reason to want to get out of bed every work morning.

Inspirational Quotes for Reflection:
“The amount of action in your life can also depend on your ability to try new things.” Felix Oberman

“If you love what you do, then it is no longer work. The money you earn is secondary when you love your work. Money can never buy happiness, or peace of mind.” Catherine Pulsifer

“The kind of passion I am talking about refers for to a true love of what you do to the point where you give it your all every minute of every workday.” Byron Pulsifer
