How Do I Love Thee
Poet: Elizabeth Barrett Browning How do I love thee Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of Being and ideal Grace. I love thee to the level of every day's Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight. I love thee freely, as men strive for right; I love thee purely, as they turn from praise. I love thee with the passion put to use In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith. I love thee with a love I seemed to lose With my lost saints - I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life! - and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death. Happy Valentines Day Sweetheart By Charlie Mard I look forward to being with you We have many things to discover and do I promise to be there when trials get you down On days you are sad, I will play the clown I shall never be deceitful or lie in anyway But strive to show you that you're special everyday I will protect you and love you and never depart Because my love for you comes from the depth of my Heart. I Miss You Poet: Rena Nelson I want to cry every night, because I miss the way we fight. I pray for you every night, because I miss you not being in my sight. I miss the sound of your voice, that I am sick and tired of all this noise. I miss the way you smell, oh that smell. I miss the look upon your face, that made me smile with such grace. I love you so much I can't deny, for when I see you I will break down and cry. For when I cry these happy tears, I won't have anymore fears. You'll be home safe with me, that I'll be able to sleep. Oh how I miss you so much. I'll just have to wait and hope you will, keep in touch. Tell Her So Poet: Unknown Amid the cares of married strife In spite of toil and business life If you value your dear wife- Tell her so! When days are dark and deeply blue She has her troubles, same as you Show her that your love is true Tell her so! Don't act as if she's past her prime As tho' to please her were a crime if ever you loved her, now's the time- Tell her so! She'll return for each caress A hundred fold of tenderness, Hearts like hers were made to bless; Tell her so! You are hers and hers alone; Well you know she's all your own; Don't wait to carve it on a stone- Tell her so! Never let her heart grow cold Richer beauties will unfold She is worth her weight in gold Tell her so! My True Love Hath My Heart Poet: Sir Philip Sidney My true-love hath my heart and I have his, By just exchange one for the other given: I hold his dear, and mine he cannot miss; There never was a bargain better driven. His heart in me keeps me and him in one; My heart in him his thoughts and senses guides: He loves my heart, for once it was his own; I cherish his because in me it bides. His heart his wound received from my sight; My heart was wounded with his wounded heart; For as from me on him his hurt did light, So still, methought, in me his hurt did smart: Both equal hurt, in this change sought our bliss, My true love hath my heart and I have his. Love One Another Poet: Khalil Gibran You were born together, and together you shall be forever more. You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days. Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God. But let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other's cup, but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread, but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow. love is more thicker than forget Poet: e. e. cummings love is more thicker than forget more thinner than recall more seldom than a wave is wet more frequent than to fail it is most mad and moonly and less it shall unbe than all the sea which only is deeper than the sea love is less always than to win less never than alive less bigger than the least begin less littler than forgive it is most sane and sunly and more it cannot die than all the sky which only is higher than the sky The Reasons I Love You Poet: Catherine Pulsifer, © 2017 You sometimes ask why I love you Let me say just a few: The kindness that you show to me and others to Makes me love being with you. The helping hand you so willingly offer To those who rarely have a lot of coffers. Your smile, your laugh, your sense of humor Brings happiness to me and a lot of consumers. No matter what you're doing you always have time To listen and understand to those who are having a difficult climb. You look at the world with an optimistic outlook Even if there is zero showing in your bankbook. You're supportive and encouraging words you say By doing this you brighten everyone's day. You are never stingy, your wealth you willingly share People always appreciate you and know that you care. You are full of dreams for making the world a better place No matter what the goal you find a way to embrace. Your kiss, your hug, those loving arms Makes me feel protected and out of harm. When I look into your eyes I see and feel A love that I could not conceal. |
